SLS materials for functional prototypes and end-use parts
PA12 (polyamide 12) is one of the most versatile engineering thermoplastics in industrial 3D printing — tough, durable, chemically resistant and low in moisture absorption. We run it in two grades: PA 2200 and PA 3200 GF.
Two materials. Each with its own purpose.
PA 2200 for dimensional stability and strength - PA 3200 GF for greater stiffness and wear resistance. Both deliver industrial repeatability without tooling.
PA 2200
PA 2200 is made from polyamide 12 and is the reference material for industrial SLS printing. It offers exceptional dimensional stability and high mechanical strength, and its biocompatibility gives it strong value in medicine and pharmaceuticals - the standard choice for functional prototypes and series parts in demanding applications.

| Tensile strength | 48 MPa |
| Flexural modulus | 1650 MPa |
| Elongation at break | 18 % |
| HDT (0.45 MPa) | 157 °C |

Functional prototypes, housings, air ducts, medical aids, replacement and end-use parts.
PA 3200 GF
PA 3200 GF is made from polyamide 12 with a 40 % by-weight addition of glass beads. Parts printed in this material have high stiffness while retaining good elongation at break - ideal for parts with increased wear and temperature resistance.

| Post-processing | sandblasting / dyeing |
Functional prototypes, spare parts, small series and end-use parts where high stiffness, wear resistance and good temperature performance matter.

PA 2200 or PA 3200 GF — which material should you choose?
We choose PA 2200 (PA12) for most functional prototypes and technical components, where we need a good combination of mechanical properties, toughness and design freedom. PA 3200 GF is better suited to applications where greater stiffness, dimensional stability and behaviour at elevated temperatures matter more.
