3D printed architectural scale models

From a digital model to a maquette you can hold in your hands. With industrial SLS 3D printing we produce architectural scale models, presentation models and physical visualizations directly from CAD or BIM data — for a clear presentation of form, spatial relationships and construction detail to a client, investor or jury.

A render convinces the eyes. A model convinces the hands.

From a 3D model to a physical scale model

From a prepared CAD or BIM model, SLS 3D printing produces a precise physical scale model that preserves complex geometries and the project's key details.

A clearer way to present a project

A physical model shows spatial relationships, volumes and form more clearly than a technical drawing, making the design easier for a client or investor to grasp.

What we print for architecture & design

Architectural models

Architectural models

Precise models of buildings and spaces for presentations and competitions.

Product prototypes

Product prototypes

Physical prototypes to test form, proportion and ergonomics.

Visualizations

Visualizations

Physical models that complement a render when presenting an idea.

A model that puts your idea in the room

From a CAD or BIM model, SLS 3D printing produces precise architectural scale models and presentation models. A client, investor or competition jury can hold the physical model, view it from every side and better grasp the project's spatial relationships, volumes and detail.

PA 2200 for precise models, PA 3200 GF for large, stiff models

PA 2200 gives fine detail, sharp edges and dimensional stability, ideal for models and prototypes. For larger or more heavily loaded models, where extra stiffness matters, we use PA 3200 GF.

PA 2200

Polyamide 12 (PA12) - versatile standard

High strength, chemical resistance, dimensional stability and biocompatibility. The most commonly used material for functional parts.

  • Tensile strength 48 MPa
  • Elongation 18 %
  • HDT 157 °C

Polyamide 12 + glass - high stiffness

High stiffness, wear and temperature resistance - with the repeatability of industrial printing.

  • Tensile strength 51 MPa
  • Elongation 9 %
  • HDT 157 °C

Frequently asked questions about SLS 3D printing for architecture & design

SLS 3D printing produces precise architectural scale models and presentation models directly from CAD or BIM data. The technology suits complex geometries, fine detail and models that would be difficult to produce with classic methods.
