More than 25 years of knowledge and technological development
The Regional Technology Centre Zasavje (RTCZ) brings industrial 3D printing and a chemical-technological laboratory together under one roof in Hrastnik. From the first metal prototypes in 2002 to today's small-batch production, we've built a team and infrastructure that deliver concrete solutions for our clients.
How we started
The Regional Technology Centre Zasavje (RTCZ) was founded in 2001 on the initiative of ten companies from the Zasavje region, aiming to boost technological development for local businesses and the region. Four more companies and seven local communities later joined the centre, growing RTCZ into a broader regional partnership.
Pioneers of industrial 3D printing
As early as 2002 we were among the pioneers of industrial 3D printing in Slovenia, producing metal prototypes and tooling inserts using DMLS technology. Today we continue our long experience with additive technologies mainly through industrial SLS 3D printing, producing functional prototypes, technical components and small batches.
Chemical-technological laboratory
The other core part of our work is our chemical-technological laboratory, accredited to the SIST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard. There we carry out laboratory analyses and environmental services, including wastewater monitoring, waste assessments, soil and artificial-soil monitoring, and municipal waste sorting analyses.
One location, one team
Since 2024 we've brought all our activities together at a single location, in around 800 m² of newly renovated space. Our team consists of 11 skilled professionals — two in 3D printing, seven in laboratory services, and two in management and business support.

RTCZ founded
Founding of the Regional Technology Centre Zasavje to boost technological development for companies and the region.
- 2002
Acquisition of the RTH technology laboratory
The purchase of the RTH technology laboratory laid the foundations of today's chemical-technological laboratory.
- 2002
Start of industrial 3D printing
Purchase of the EOSINT M250X system for 3D printing metal materials using DMLS technology — the start of our journey in industrial additive manufacturing.

Laboratory accreditation
The chemical-technological laboratory receives accreditation certificate LP-41 under the SIST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard.
- 2006
Start of SLS 3D printing of polyamides
Purchase of the EOSINT P385 system for industrial 3D printing of polyamide powders using SLS technology.
- 2017
New generation of SLS technology
Purchase of the industrial EOS P396 system and new premises for the company's further development.

New laboratory premises
Renovation and relocation of the chemical-technological laboratory to new premises in Hrastnik.

All activities under one roof
Consolidation of company activities at a single location in around 800 m² of renovated space.
Team
Today, the company brings together 11 skilled professionals — two working in industrial 3D printing and additive technologies, seven in laboratory analysis and services, and two in management and business support.
Our chemical-technological laboratory is an accredited testing laboratory under the SIST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, certified by Slovenian Accreditation.
